Video cameras, monopods, tripods, audio recording devices and cameras with telephoto lenses, including SLR's, are not permitted inside The Chicago Theatre at any time. This policy is strictly enforced. You may bring in a disposable or 35mm camera (with no zoom or telephoto lens), however, for some events, cameras of any type and/or flash photography may be prohibited.
For the comfort, safety and security of all patrons, backpacks and other large bags are not allowed into the auditorium. All such items must be checked. Smaller purses are allowed into the auditorium. Coats and bags can be checked for $1 per item.
By law, smoking in all areas of The Chicago Theatre is prohibited. You may smoke outside the theatre building: your ticket must be scanned out for re-entry into the theatre.
The Chicago Theatre offers a full selection of premium liquors, wines, beer, juice, bottled water, soft drinks and snacks. Our full service bars are open prior to every performance and during all intermissions.
The policy for taking food or beverage into the auditorium may vary from show to show. Please ask your bartender or an usher about the evening's policy. Outside food and beverages are not allowed into the theatre.
Ushers will heed the artists' requirements, and will time late seating to minimize disruption to the theatre experience of patrons who are already seated for a performance.
