MSG Entertainment and Live Nation welcome comedian Kevin James to The Chicago Theatre on Thursday, September 12, as part of his national stand-up comedy tour, Kevin James Live. Due to popular demand, there will be a second show at 10PM to compliment the already sold out 7:30PM show.
Kevin James’ hit sitcom, The King of Queens, premiered in 1998 and ran for nine seasons on CBS with James starring and executive producing. The series eventually garnered him a 2006 Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series. In 2001, James brought his stand-up act to TV with Sweat the Small Stuff, a one-hour special for Comedy Central. Since breaking into the film world in 2005 with a starring role opposite Will Smith in Hitch, James has cultivated a steady career in movies. He is the producer, co-writer, and star of Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009), Zookeeper (2011) and Here Comes the Boom (2012) and starred with Adam Sandler in Columbia Pictures’ blockbuster Grown Ups (2010) and I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007). His next film, Grown Ups 2, also with Adam Sandler, hits theaters this summer.
