Icelandic visionaries Sigur Rós are coming to The Chicago Theatre this fall. The post-rock band is know for its melodic, classical and minimalist elements, as well as their ethereal sound and lead singer Jon Thór Birgisson's stunning voice.
On this tour, expect to hear classic fan-favorites from their critically-acclaimed catalogue, along with songs from their new album, Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust (English translation: with a buzz in our ears we play endlessly).
The shows this fall will see the band comprised of Jón Thor Birgisson (vocals, guitar), Georg Holm (bass), Kjartan Sveinsson (keyboards/piano), and Orri Páll Dyrason (drums) performing as a four-piece for the first time in almost ten years.
Don't miss what promises to be an amazing, mesmerizing musical journey with Sigur Rós, Wednesday, September 24th at The Chicago Theatre.
