Straight No Chaser's trademark vocal sound and unique musical approach initially captured the hearts of America when group member Randy Stine posted a clip for the other alumni of his college a cappella group to enjoy - a quirky version of "The 12 Days of Christmas" featuring a little side trip to Toto?s "Africa." But ten million YouTube views later, Straight No Chaser was an undeniable sensation. Atlantic Records came calling and the group's Holiday Spirits and Christmas Cheers albums accompanied many a tree-trimming party over the past two years.
Straight No Chaser's album success has put them on the Billboard charts and led to appearances on The Today Show, ABC World News Tonight, CNN Headline News, and QVC ... to name a few. The group just filmed their first television special called LIVE IN NEW YORK which will air this March on PBS.
A WTTW Pledge Drive back in December, which offered concert tickets in exchange for a Public TV donation, was successful enough to sell out the full capacity of an April 10 Park West performance. Now this 10-man phenomenon has decided to add a second show, this time to the historic stage of The Chicago Theatre on Sunday, April 11 at 7:30pm
