For safety and as a courtesy to other ticketholders, please do not sit or stand in the aisles. Aisles should be kept clear at all times. We ask that you comply with these policies. Any patron not in compliance is subject to ejection.
The Chicago Theatre has a strict policy towards animals on the premises and therefore does not allow animals or pets at The Chicago Theatre under normal circumstances, with the exception of service animals such as guide dogs. The ADA defines a service animal as any guide dog, signal dog, or other animal individually trained to provide assistance to an individual with a disability.
Assistive listening devices are available at Coat Check during events at The Chicago Theatre. You will be required to leave valid identification such as a driver's license as collateral, and upon return of the device in the same condition, your collateral will be returned. There is no charge for this service.
The Chicago Theatre does not distribute backstage passes for any event.
Coats and bags may be checked for $1 per item. Please note that backpacks and other large bags are not permitted into the auditorium. For the comfort, safety and security of all patrons, all such items must be checked. Smaller purses are permitted into the auditorium.

A facility surcharge is assessed to help defray the administrative costs of running our Box Office and our facility. You will find that some venues are charging this fee and that it is in line with industry standards. This facility surcharge ($4.50) is included in the price of each ticket. Any ticket with a face value above $15.00 is subject to a facility surcharge.

This stipulation is clearly marked on each ticket. The Chicago Theatre has many points of sale from which you may purchase merchandise at an event. Merchandise can be purchased with cash only. There is an ATM on the Lower Level Lobby of the theatre.
Due to the overwhelming number of requests that The Chicago Theatre receives, as well as time constraints during performances and events, we are not able to accept personal messages of any kind.

During a pre-sale, a limited number of tickets are available for sale within a specified amount of time prior to the sale of tickets to the general public. Please note that while a pre-sale can afford you the opportunity to attempt to purchase tickets before the general public sale, there is no guarantee that you will be able to obtain tickets since, as in normal ticket-selling situations, there is a limited supply of tickets. For most events, the seating capacity is approximately 3,600, however, this capacity does change depending on the scaling of the event.

With the exception of the pit section, theatre seating is numbered with odd numbers on the right side of the auditorium and even numbers on the left. For example, seats 301 and 303 are side by side.

Please understand that a facility surcharge is included in the ticket price, if the original face value (prior to any discounts) is more than $15.00. Please be aware that the TicketMaster surcharges cover the costs of performing the administrative functions necessary to process ticket orders, as well as for shipping. There are three ways to purchase tickets through TicketMaster. If you choose to use TicketMaster's phone or Internet service, you will be assessed a facility surcharge, a convenience and shipping charge. If you choose to utilize a TicketMaster outlet to purchase tickets, you will be assessed a facility surcharge and a convenience charge.
